Since 1992, our founder has been responsible for over 20 patented innovations and has developed industry leading lighter brands while producing products for some of the most respected names in luxury, automotive, and lifestyle design.

This long-standing experience forms the foundation of Pro Flame. Every detail, from flame behavior to material selection, reflects a deep understanding of how lighters are used and where traditional designs fall short for cigar smokers. 

Rethinking the Flame 

The introduction of the torch flame in the mid-1990s changed the lighter industry forever. Its precision and wind resistance made it a reliable tool in almost any environment, and it quickly became the standard for windproof lighters.

However, for cigars and fine tobacco products, the traditional torch flame has always required skill and experience. Its narrow, high-intensity heat can be aggressive by nature, often scorching the wrapper instead of gently and evenly toasting the foot. This can lead to uneven burns, harsh starts, and a diminished smoking experience when used incorrectly.

After more than 35 years in the smoking and lighter industry, we recognized that most wind-proof flames demand careful handling to avoid damaging cigars, cigarettes, and other tobacco products. We believed there should be a better solution — a flame that delivers the performance of a torch lighter, but with the control and gentleness needed for a perfect light every time.

Instead of accepting the compromise, we set out to solve the problem.

After over two years of intensive engineering and product development, we created Pro Flame — a new flame technology designed to make lighting simple, fast, and consistent, even for inexperienced users.
